Martin and crew hosted the Tour:Smart Plus weekend here at Invisible Records last weekend, and man...what a blast!
This weekend was a crash-course in everything a DIY musician needs to know in order to function successfully in the music business. We had speakers from every area of the biz here discussing how quickly the industry is changing and how YOU can stay in the now. Attendees came from all over the country to learn how to: maximize their tour, market themselves or their bands, correctly utilize social-networking sites, design graphics and logos, save time and money, screen-print shirts and posters, package their merchandise, and so much more! We heard from music critic Greg Kot of the Chicago Tribune, Tim Toomey of Assault Shirts, Jim Powers of Minty Fresh Records, and more music gurus offering tips on how to excel in this ever-changing business. Not to mention the performers! Moldover, One-Eyed Doll, and The Brothers Sass graced Invisible Records HQ with dynamic and inspiring performances. If you happened to miss this whirlwind weekend, don't fret - you can catch another TS PLUS weekend. We'll keep you updated.
