I got this cd a while ago, but what do you people who got it on the free deal think of it?  Personally I think this band has so much fucking potential.  It's just a shame the cd is so short.  Can't wait for the new cd whenever that comes.  While the bands from china are good as well, I think as far as the bands on this label other than the main ones (pigface) this is where martin really should be pushing this band.

I wouldn't say the ball was dropped.  From what I remember in an old martin interview the band wasn't sure they wanted to keep going... i think somebody had a kid or marriage or some nonsense... the important thing is a new cd is coming..

Yes martin does say alot of things, but i'm just passing along the info on what happened with the band and their hickup with getting themselves going.

I would just offer into the discussion, that there are a lot of very good bands out there who don't wind up becomming full time nation-touring acts, either due to design or other circumstances.  When people in bands have careers and families, that obviously makes for a different situation relative to how full-time a band is, but it doesn't make it less successful.  The fact that The Countdown is still making and releasing such amazing music is something that I'm really grateful for, and speaks to their skill, creativity, and love of music... new album should be available within a week or so.

Well... now it's there.

Looks like it's a mixed album - partially old tracks, partially new. Unfortunately I wasn't able to attend the online listening so I can't say anything to the album. All I got was two Emails from The Countdown, which made me wonder about the making of the album. The band seems to be dissatisfied with the production of the CD and announced that the next album will be out as early as the Spring of next year (we'll see...) and they are planning that album not to be released via Invisible.

Is there a statement on this issue from Invisible?
